## About the Role

* Master's degree or PhD in MEMS Engineering, Microsystems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
 * Experience designing MEMS devices through industrial development or academic research.
 * Strong understanding of MEMS physics and semiconductor fabrication processes.
 * Experience using MEMS simulation and modelling tools.
 * Proficiency with COMSOL Multiphysics, MATLAB and L-Edit (or similar layout tools).
 * Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

## Description

* Design and develop MEMS devices for advanced sensing applications.
 * Create device concepts, simulations, layouts and fabrication-ready designs.
 * Perform multiphysics modelling and simulation, including mechanical, thermal, electrostatic and optical analysis.
 * Develop and optimise MEMS structures such as actuators, suspension systems, mirrors and interferometers.
 * Create mask layouts and support design release activities.
 * Collaborate with fabrication teams and external manufacturing partners.
 * Analyse test data and correlate experimental results with simulations.
 * Investigate performance limitations and drive continuous design improvements.
 * Support system integration activities alongside optics, electronics and manufacturing teams.
 * Contribute to intellectual property development and future technology roadmaps.
