Unlike many IT roles, you'll be able to focus primarily on the IBM i environment while a third-party managed services provider handles the majority of the network and infrastructure responsibilities.

What You'll Do

 * Support and maintain mission-critical IBM i / AS400 business applications
 * Troubleshoot production issues, including record locks and data integrity concerns
 * Modify, maintain, and enhance RPG II and RPG400 applications
 * Gradually modernize legacy System/36 applications and convert older programs to current technologies
 * Support the company's migration to IBM Power9 hardware
 * Work directly with end users to troubleshoot issues and improve business processes
 * Coordinate with a third-party managed services provider on infrastructure-related needs
 * Maintain system documentation, software licensing, and security standards
 * Travel occasionally to other company locations as needed
