## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

 * 5-10 years of design engineering experience required.

 * Proficiency in SolidWorks is required.

 * Experience with additional CAD software is preferred.

 * Manufacturing experience is a plus.

 * Project management experience is a plus.

 * Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

 * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

## Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their team on a temporary basis. This position will support engineering projects by designing, developing, testing, and improving mechanical products and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, experience with SolidWorks, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

 * Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications.

 * Design, develop, and test mechanical components, systems, and products using SolidWorks and other CAD software.

 * Evaluate alternate designs and manufacturing methods to improve product performance, reliability, and cost.

 * Conduct engineering research, testing, and feasibility studies for new and existing products.

 * Analyze equipment and system performance and recommend design modifications to improve functionality.

 * Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, and production teams to implement design improvements and resolve technical issues.

 * Develop engineering documentation, including specifications, performance requirements, and testing procedures.

 * Support production by coordinating manufacturing methods, fabrication processes, and product implementation.

 * Investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.

 * Assist with product installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.

 * Ensure all designs comply with engineering standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications.
