However, candidates are not required to have expertise or experience in all these areas. A willingness to learn in areas where you do not have experience and to teach others in areas where you do have experience is essential to being successful on our team., * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited). * 7+ years of relevant post education experience as an electrical engineer executing deliverables for Protective Relaying projects in power generation, transmission, and distribution at a utility, industrial, or commercial scale. * Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain one. * Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Preferred Qualifications: * Preference will be given to applicants with a proven history of completing similar projects in a consulting environment. * Preference may be given to engineers with commissioning and testing experience, or strong skills in protecting equipment at high voltages (69kV and higher).Preference is also given to applicants with experience mentoring others and a willingness to do so. ## Description * Protective Relaying: Symmetrical component analysis, protection philosophy development, relay settings, and integration with SCADA systems. * Protection Analyses: Electrical model development, short circuit, time-current coordination, arc flash, NERC compliance, and event analysis * Leadership: Lead teams on client projects to meet the scope, schedule, and budget.
