In this role, you'll contribute across the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation through testing and production delivery. You'll work closely with product, security, and platform teams to develop solutions that improve our product security capabilities while helping maintain the reliability and quality of the systems we build. We're looking for someone with experience in Golang and modern JavaScript, strong engineering fundamentals, and a thoughtful approach to problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement., * Experience contributing to projects from design through production delivery, collaborating with teammates to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions. * Hands-on experience with Golang and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, including backend services and frontend applications. * Experience building and maintaining integrations between internal systems and external APIs. * Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native applications, including an understanding of how software operates in production environments. * Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools such as Terraform. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to share progress, ask questions, and surface risks early. * A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement, with an interest in making systems more reliable, secure, and maintainable. * We recognise that experience comes in many forms. What Helps You Stand Out * Experience working on or contributing to CMDB-like systems, asset inventory platforms, or internal developer tooling. * Familiarity with security ecosystems, system inventory, or exposure/secrets-related data domains. * Experience working in environments with compliance or security requirements where correctness and auditability matter. * Demonstrated effective use of AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, or automate repetitive engineering tasks. * Experience on systems that serve as a source of truth for multiple teams, and an appreciation for the reliability and data quality requirements that creates. * A history of mentoring junior engineers or leading sub-teams within a larger project. ## Description * Own projects end-to-end within our internal system portfolio application, covering requirements and design through implementation, testing, and production delivery. * Break down project work into sub-tasks, prioritize effectively, and execute on each with limited day-to-day direction from your manager. * Design and implement backend services in Golang and frontend components in JavaScript for a SPA architecture. * Build and maintain integrations with internal systems and third-party APIs, including data ingestion, normalization, and synchronization workflows. * Contribute to the reliability, performance, and maintainability of the system as adoption and use cases grow. * Write clean, well-tested code and participate actively in pull request reviews, providing and receiving direct technical feedback. * Work directly with product, security, and platform stakeholders to establish requirements, surface tradeoffs, and align on scope. * Mentor more junior engineers on the team and serve as a subject matter expert on areas of the codebase you've worked in. * Proactively identify and drive improvements: refactors, cleanups, reliability improvements, and CI/CD or observability enhancements. * Use AI-assisted engineering tools where appropriate to improve productivity, code quality, and development workflows. * Raise issues and risks to your manager when they arise.
