Candidates who only managed mainframe teams or relied on third-party vendors without personally performing the technical work will not be considered. This is a strategy-focused role, not a server deployment or engineering position. The ideal candidate is an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect with experience developing infrastructure strategies, roadmaps, and long-term technology direction-not someone focused solely on solution design or implementation. Summarized Must-Haves: * 10+ years of infrastructure and cloud architecture experience. * Hybrid cloud experience (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP). * Enterprise infrastructure strategy and roadmap development experience. * Experience with networking (firewalls, DNS), storage (SAN/NAS), backup, and virtualization (not all technologies are required). * Experience with, or knowledge of, AIOps and FinOps. * Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. * Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, or Dynatrace (experience with all tools is not required). * Experience designing highly reliable environments, including Disaster Recovery (DR), High Availability (HA), High Resiliency, Business Continuity, Fault Tolerance, and Failover. * Executive leadership experience presenting to C-level stakeholders and collaborating across Architecture, Engineering, Security, and external partners (e.g., MSPs). * Relevant certifications preferred, including AWS (preferred), Azure, TOGAF, ITIL, and/or Terraform. ## Related Videos - [Our journey with Spring Boot in a microservice architecture](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/511-our-journey-with-spring-boot-in-a-microservice-architecture) - [5 steps for running a Kubernetes environment at scale](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/88-5-steps-for-running-a-kubernetes-environment-at-scale) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) - [Building Applications with Infrastructure as Code](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/887-building-applications-with-infrastructure-as-code) - [All your telemetry data from any source in one place](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/57-all-your-telemetry-data-from-any-source-in-one-place) - [Keycloak case study: Making users happy with service level indicators and observability](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1599-keycloak-case-study-making-users-happy-with-service-level-indicators-and-observability) ## Related Articles - [What Are The Top Skills Required For Azure Developers?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/77-what-are-the-top-skills-required-for-azure-developers) - [Best US AI Conferences for CTOs in 2026: Build vs. Buy, Vendor Evaluation, and Peer Intelligence](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/736-best-us-ai-conferences-for-ctos-in-2026-build-vs-buy-vendor-evaluation-and-peer-intelligence) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [7 Cloud Computing Trends Coming in 2025 for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/412-7-cloud-computing-trends-coming-in-2025-for-developers) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers)
