You know Databricks and the Microsoft/Azure data stack deeply and you're genuinely excited about what's coming next. You combine strong technical judgment with the ability to plan and execute across teams., * At least 3 years of experience in a tech lead or similar senior role within a data engineering or data platform context, with a proven track record of staying hands-on alongside leading. * Deep expertise in Databricks and strong knowledge of the broader Microsoft and Azure data ecosystem. * Solid understanding of BI tools and reporting architecture (Power BI or similar). * Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, and platform observability. * Ability to plan and coordinate cross-team projects with clear timelines and structured delivery. * A genuine curiosity about AI, automation, and emerging data technologies and the drive to put them into practice. * Comfortable working closely with a Product Owner, translating priorities into executable plans. ## Description * Plan and deliver Databricks platform developments, from architecture decisions to hands-on implementation. * Design, upgrade, and migrate BI reporting tools to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the business. * Lead delivery planning for cross-team projects, coordinating across Data Engineering, BI, Data Science, and Analytics. * Evaluate and continuously improve the Databricks setup, making sure it's configured to best practices. * Stay ahead of new Databricks and Microsoft data features, proactively identifying opportunities to adopt them. * Drive cross-platform AI agent integration to optimize how our data teams work and deliver value faster. * Own data-related project planning with clear timelines, ensuring delivery against the agreed roadmap. * Champion data governance and data quality standards across the platform, ensuring reliability and trust in our data., The Data Platform Product Owner is responsible for stakeholder engagement, hiring decisions, and the longer-term roadmap. Once priorities are set, you and the PO work closely together to break the roadmap down into manageable steps and drive delivery.
