## Description

A growing managed service provider in the Harrogate/Knaresborough area is looking for a Technical Support Engineer with solid hands-on networking experience. You'll be the person who can confidently take on DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, VPN and firewall issues from day one. Server work and Microsoft 365/Entra/Intune can be taught internally - networking is the key skill they need immediately.

Why They're Hiring

The support desk handles a steady flow of tickets, with 2nd line typically resolving around 10-20 per day. Two engineers currently take on most of the networking-heavy work, and the business is adding another engineer to strengthen coverage and ensure clients get fast, confident support on traditional networking issues.

What You'll Be Doing

 * Taking ownership of 2nd line tickets escalated from 1st line
 * Providing remote support to a mix of local and international clients
 * Troubleshooting networking environments: DHCP, DNS, switching, routing, VPNs, firewalls
 * Supporting on-prem and virtual server environments (training provided)
 * Learning and supporting Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune (training provided)
 * Working closely with senior engineers on complex issues
 * Keeping documentation and ticket notes clear and accurate
 * Being part of a tight, office-based team, * Office-based role with a supportive, social team
