The Lab Coordinator will assist community members with basic technology needs, maintain equipment, and ensure smooth daily operations of the computer lab. This role is central to fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and participant-centered environment for users of all ages. The Lab Coordinator will also contribute to strengthening community engagement by ensuring the Computer Lab remains well-managed, accessible, and responsive to the evolving needs of the broader community., Lab Operations & Participant Support * Oversee daily operations of the Computer Lab, ensuring a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming environment for community members of all ages. * Support participant sign-in, monitor lab usage, and provide basic technology assistance and guidance to lab users. * Maintain schedules for open lab hours, workshops, and partner-led programming while fostering a positive and respectful learning environment. * Facilitate self-guided workshop sessions, providing timely guidance and assistance to participants to improve understanding and completion outcomes. Programming & Partnerships * Support the coordination and facilitation of technology-based workshops, activities, and learning opportunities for community members of all ages. * Assist with programming in areas such as digital literacy, computer basics, internet safety, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, coding, STEM, and other technology-related topics. * Collaborate with volunteers, instructors, guest presenters, and internal departments to strengthen Computer Lab programming and enhance participant engagement. * Support existing partnerships and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, community-focused technology programming. Equipment, Technology & Space Management * Maintain computers, printers, software, and other technology equipment used within the Computer Lab. * Open and prepare the lab daily, monitor inventory and equipment usage, and coordinate maintenance and repair needs with Operations staff. * Ensure all computers, peripherals, and technology equipment are properly secured, inventoried, and stored at the end of each day. * Ensure the lab is properly secured, and operational readiness is maintained at opening and closing.
