## About the Role

We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical aptitude and a passion for customer service. The key qualifications include:

 * Proven experience in an IT help desk or technical support role.
 * Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with macOS or Chrome OS is a plus.
 * Hands-on experience with troubleshooting PC hardware, printers, and other common peripherals.
 * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
 * Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for explaining technical information to non-technical individuals.
 * A strong customer-service orientation and a patient, professional demeanour.
 * The ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment.
 * Experience working within an educational or public sector setting would be a significant advantage.

## Description

As an IT Help Desk Specialist, you will be responsible for providing essential first-line support to our entire school district. Your primary duties will include:

 * Serving as the initial point of contact for all IT support requests from teachers, students, and administrative staff via phone, email, or our ticketing system.
 * Diagnosing and resolving technical hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripherals.
 * Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, applications, and classroom technology, including interactive whiteboards and projectors.
 * Assisting with user account management, including password resets, permissions, and onboarding of new users.
 * Logging, tracking, and documenting all help desk interactions and their resolutions to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
 * Escalating complex and unresolved issues to senior IT personnel in a timely manner.
 * Providing clear and patient guidance to users to help them resolve their technical problems.
 * Contributing to IT projects and supporting technology roll-outs across the district.
