The selected candidate must possess this title, be among the top three of a binding Civil Service Certificate of Eligible List for this title, or be among the top three after taking the required Civil Service exam for this title. * Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered two (2) year college with an Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or * Completion of sixty (60) college credit hours, fifteen (15) of which shall have been in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or * Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and completion of a one (1) year business certificate program that includes computer coursework and either 1) 30 college credits or 2) one (1) year of experience working in a business setting requiring the use of personal computers and multiple software; or * Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and two (2) years' experience in the installation and support of personal computers, computer applications, LANS/WANS and/or data communications; or * A satisfactory equivalent combination of training and experience * NOTE: The BOCES Computer Network Technology (Career & Technical Education) program and other programs from other states like the BOCES Computer Network Technology (Career & Technical Education) program have been deemed equivalent to the one-year business certificate program that includes computer coursework. * Strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal, are required. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage the daily workload. * Proficiency in troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting networked PCs and Windows-based servers is essential. * Must possess working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Hyper-V, Microsoft Office 365, and PC configuration.
