Experience Preferred: * 1-3 years of experience in: * Pharmaceutical manufacturing * Food or Dietary supplement manufacturing under cGMP * Experience with CBD, cannabinoids, botanical extracts, or APIs. * Chemical manufacturing Experience working under any of the following is highly desirable: * FDA 21 CFR Part 210/211 * FDA 21 CFR Part 117 * ICH Q7 * ISO 9001 * GMP Quality Systems Knowledge & Skills * Understanding of cGMP principles. * Familiarity with SOPs and controlled documentation. * Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP). * Basic laboratory skills. * Strong attention to detail. * Good written and verbal communication. * Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ## Description The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician is responsible for supporting Cannvital's Quality Management System (QMS) through routine production floor oversight, in-process quality inspections, documentation review, sample collection, basic quality testing, and GMP compliance activities. The QA Technician serves as the Quality representative on the manufacturing floor to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Batch Production Records (BPRs), and regulatory requirements including 21 CFR Parts 117 and 210/211. Duties * Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify product specifications. * Perform quality audits on production lines to ensure adherence to ISO standards, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and regulatory/legal compliance standards. * Interpret mechanical blueprints and manufacturing documents accurately to facilitate quality control checks. * Utilize vision inspection systems and other advanced measurement tools for detailed quality inspections. * Collect and analyze data related to product quality, dimensional measurements, and process performance to identify trends or deviations. * Support calibration of measuring instruments and ensure calibration records are maintained according to ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 requirements. * Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues, contributing to corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA). Essential Responsibilities Production Floor Quality * Perform routine production floor inspections throughout all manufacturing operations. * Verify compliance with SOPs, Batch Production Records, cleaning and calibration logs, and GMP requirements. * Monitor environmental conditions including cleanliness, temperature, humidity, and differential pressure where applicable. * Observe manufacturing operations and identify quality concerns. * Report quality deviations immediately to the QA Manager. Sampling & Testing * Collect raw material, in-process, environmental, and finished product samples. * Perform routine QA inspections and basic analytical tests according to SOPs. * Develop and conduct critical testing including appearance evaluations, particle size analysis, moisture, viscosity, and other approved in-house quality tests. * Prepare samples for external laboratory analysis. * Record and review analytical data. , and packaging integrity. GMP Compliance * Monitor compliance with cGMP requirements. * Participate in internal GMP audits. * Assist during customer, regulatory, and certification audits. * Assist with investigations of deviations and non-conformances. * Participate in change control activities when assigned. Equipment & Calibration * Verify equipment status labels. * Ensure calibration records are current. * Assist with routine inspection of laboratory and production equipment. * Report equipment issues that may affect product quality. Inventory & Materials * Verify incoming materials are properly identified and quarantined when required. * Inspect labels and packaging materials. * Verify released materials before production use. * Assist with sample retention and stability sample management.
