Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a to support a program for NIWC PAC in The team is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop custom applications for a critical Security Operations Center. Details below:

 * Design, develop, test, and maintain custom software applications that support Security Operations Center (SOC) personnel and cybersecurity analysts in protecting and monitoring enterprise networks.
 * Develop and enhance applications primarily using Python and JavaScript, delivering scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.
 * Implement new features, resolve software defects, and perform ongoing maintenance across multiple existing applications.
 * Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and team members to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
 * Modernize and refactor legacy codebases by implementing contemporary development practices, improving code reusability, maintainability, and performance.
 * Participate in the design and development of new Python-based applications to support mission-critical security operations.
 * Contribute to the migration of software development processes from a traditional waterfall methodology to an Agile development framework.
 * Utilize Agile practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives, to support continuous delivery and team collaboration.
 * Develop and integrate user-facing interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks and technologies, including React or NextJS where applicable.
 * Work within Linux-based development and deployment environments to build, test, troubleshoot, and maintain applications.
