## About the Role

* Eligible to obtain Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
 * Proven experience in software development for embedded systems using C or Python and familiar with x86/x64 assembly.
 * Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as Linux operating systems, SQL databases (MySQL), and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
 * Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience working with APIs in various applications.
 * Hands-on experience with version control systems such as GitHub or SVN for collaborative development.
 * Experience working within Agile methodologies to manage project workflows efficiently.
 * Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to articulate technical ideas clearly.

Preferred:

 * Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
 * Experience debugging embedded systems.
 * Experience with ARM / MIPS / PPC assembly languages.
 * Experience with RF Communications systems.
 * Knowledge of common wired and wireless network protocol structures.

## Description

* Design, develop, and test embedded software for various hardware platforms using foundational program languages such as C, Python and Go.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and translate them into efficient code that meets project specifications.
 * Implement and maintain APIs and RESTful services to enable seamless communication between embedded devices and cloud services like AWS or Azure.
 * Optimize software for performance, power consumption, and security in real-time environments.
 * Integrate hardware components with software solutions, ensuring compatibility with IT infrastructure standards.
 * Utilize version control tools such as GitHub, SVN, or Git to manage code repositories effectively.
 * Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of features.
 * Conduct thorough testing and debugging across Linux-based systems and other operating environments to guarantee robustness.
 * Document technical specifications, system architecture diagrams, and user manuals for future reference and compliance purposes.
