Financial modeling skills and business strategy execution skills are a must. * High level of accounting knowledge and proficiency around 3-statement financial analysis. * Significant transaction experience. * Strong confidence in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint capabilities. * Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. * Strong project management skills and attention to detail. * BA/BS with demonstrated coursework in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics or related subjects (or analytical work experience in lieu of such coursework), masters preferred. * Flexibility in working extended hours and high travel demands., * Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. * Solid organizational and time management skills. * Demonstrable self-starter and ability to complete and start new tasks without daily supervision. * A career-motivated professional who is self-confident, energetic, and possesses a superb work ethic * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to learn quickly new concepts and activities. * Work independently as well as within a team. * Flexibility to travel, sometimes with little advance notice. ## Description The Associate will be responsible for leading the analytical work in support of new business development and transaction execution, as well as, assisting senior bankers in the development and delivery of value-added investment banking products and services to clients and prospects. The Associate should expect a great deal of client exposure and will develop skill sets in the fundamentals of valuation, business strategy and client communication. Ziegler is interested in candidates located in, or who would be willing to relocate to, the Chicago market.
