## About the Role

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
 * Two or more years of IT support, desktop support, or AV support experience.
 * Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and desktop hardware.
 * Basic knowledge of audiovisual systems, including conference room technology and video conferencing platforms.
 * Strong troubleshooting, communication, customer service, and organizational skills., * Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, or similar collaboration platforms.
 * Familiarity with AV technologies such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, or QSC.
 * Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CTS.

## Description

The IT Technician provides first-level technical support for end users while assisting with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audiovisual (AV) systems. This role supports Windows-based workstations, software applications, conference room technology, and related equipment to ensure reliable technology services for faculty, staff, and administrative personnel., * Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, software, and peripheral devices.

 * Install, configure, and maintain Windows workstations and Microsoft Office applications.
 * Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and user account issues.
 * Deploy new computers and manage IT and AV equipment inventory.
 * Install, maintain, and troubleshoot conference room AV systems, displays, projectors, audio equipment, and video conferencing technology.
 * Provide AV support for meetings and special events as needed.
 * Coordinate equipment repairs, warranty service, and vendor support.
 * Document support activities and collaborate with IT staff to improve technology services.
