Candidates must be within a driving distance to the Dublin, OH, or Cleveland, OH, offices._ _What Specialty Networks_** **_and_** **_Commercial Technologies Software Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health_ Specialty Networks creates clinical and economic value for independent specialty providers and pharmaceutical industry partners across multiple specialties: Urology, Gastroenterology, and Rheumatology. Specialty Networks' PPS Analytics platform is a commercial SaaS platform that collects data from various clinical and operational practice systems, and uses artificial intelligence and modern data analytics to transform it into meaningful and actionable insights that ensure providers get their patients to the right care at the right time. The _Commercial Technologies Software Engineering_ team delivers the applications our member practices and pharmaceutical partners depend on. This Software Engineer will design and implement full-stack functionality across our clinical and administrative web applications and the services behind them, working closely with their own team and others. Our platform is modern and actively evolving, and this role is focused on new development. You will build data-rich, user-facing features in a regulated healthcare environment, increasingly with AI-assisted capabilities, and help take the product through its next stage of evolution. We value engineers who can turn ambiguous product direction into well-built, maintainable software. This is a hands-on role with the potential for technical leadership scope. You will be a primary contributor, and may also set technical direction and guide the day-to-day work of a small team that includes contract engineers. That leadership is technical rather than people management: you would lead the work and raise the bar of what the team ships, without carrying HR responsibility for it. _Responsibilities_ + Design and implement full-stack functionality across our web applications, from the API and data layer through the user interface + Build the interfaces users work in day to day, from interactive dashboards to workflow tools + Design configurable, data-driven feature logic so product behavior can be adapted without code changes + Integrate AI- and analytics-assisted capabilities, building for results that are explainable and traceable to their source + Author well-structured, reusable UI components, and build and consume RESTful APIs and the serverless functions behind our integrations + May provide technical direction to a small team of engineers, including contract resources: breaking work into clear, well-specified tasks, reviewing code, and upholding our engineering standards + Write secure, privacy-conscious code in line with our HIPAA obligations and application-security standards, and contribute to automated testing + Keep our applications current as frameworks and platform standards evolve, and debug and resolve issues across the stack + Mentor developers, act as a QA resource, and collaborate across engineering and non-technical teams + Assist with software releases and build and release automation ## Related Videos - [Navigating the Corporate Jungle: Life as a Developer in a large Company](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/621-navigating-the-corporate-jungle-life-as-a-developer-in-a-large-company) - [Building Multi-Tenant ASP.NET Core Applications: Best Practices and Real-World Solutions](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1552-building-multi-tenant-asp-net-core-applications-best-practices-and-real-world-solutions) - [How to Stop Choosing JavaScript Frameworks and Start Living](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/118-how-to-stop-choosing-javascript-frameworks-and-start-living) - [Best Practices for Using GitHub Secrets](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1214-best-practices-for-using-github-secrets) - [Develop enterprise-ready applications for Microsoft Teams with Azure resources on modern web technologies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/187-develop-enterprise-ready-applications-for-microsoft-teams-with-azure-resources-on-modern-web-technologies) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) ## Related Articles - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [The 12 Best Jobs for Software Engineers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/401-the-12-best-jobs-for-software-engineers) - [7 Most Popular Web Developer Jobs in Europe](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/163-7-most-popular-web-developer-jobs-in-europe) - [What’s the Difference between a Junior, Mid, and Senior Developer?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/238-what-s-the-difference-between-a-junior-mid-and-senior-developer) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Where to Find Entry-Level Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/397-where-to-find-entry-level-software-engineering-jobs)
