Security certification a plus (CISSP, SSCP, CompTIA Security+, GIAC). · Completion of a minimum of two years of college level coursework in computer science, information technology or similar experience. Preferred qualifications: · Preferably become Spillman SAA certified within one year of employment. Job-Related Experience: Knowledge:Maintains knowledge of changes in systems and ability to set systems up for new hires, make changes to systems for existing employees with respect to systems administration, troubleshooting to include phones and printers and software at the basic level. Knowledge of how systems interface and interact through networks and servers. Ability: Ability to interact in a positive and effective manner with personnel at all levels of authority. Ability to demonstrate objectivity, sensitivity, and a balanced perspective regarding employee technical issues. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally. Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records. Ability to prepare and submit reports correctly and on time. Skill: Skill in operating and responding to PC computers and popular applications in word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, internet, and graphics, basic systems setups, for office-based software, password resets and equipment malfunctions. ## Description Hancock County Government is seeking Full-Time Cyber Security Specialist / Spillman Administrator to fill a vacancy in the Information Technology Office. This is a full-time Exempt position, 40 hours per week and benefits eligible located in Ellsworth, Maine. The primary purpose of this position is to handle Cyber Security and Spillman Administration but by no means are limited to those two functions. This role will also provide service to incoming calls that are related to printer, laptop, desktop, phone requests related to password resets, new hire systems support and preparation and support the IT Director to focus on projects impacting longer term needs of the organization. Supervision Received: The work performed will be performed through the direction of the IT Director. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: · Be available 24/7 on call to assist with any IT issue that could arise at any time.
