Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with, or a strong understanding of, environmental modeling and the application of quantitative analyses to address environmental challenges involving contaminants in terrestrial, aquatic, and/or atmospheric systems. * Strong presentation skills, including experience with public speaking. * Proficiency in Python scripting; additional experience with geospatial programming languages such as SQL or Arcade is a plus. * Familiarity with statistics and statistical modeling software, such as R or SPSS, is a plus. * Research experience in a scientific field, including question development, methods documentation, and presentation of results; undergraduate thesis experience is a plus. Physical Requirements: * Ability to sit at a workstation and work on a computer for extended periods. * Ability to communicate effectively in-person and/or through electronic means. * Manual dexterity to use a computer mouse, keyboard, and other tools. * Visual acuity to read and interpret technical documents. ## Description We're seeking a positive, motivated GIS Analyst / Modeler with excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills that will demonstrate an ability to work on highly dynamic and interactive projects both independently and as part of a team. This individual should have a strong technical background in GIS, data management, and a general understanding of, and interest in, environmental modeling. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, working with a growing project team and offering GIS support for a variety of projects in inland, coastal, and offshore environments, ocean science, modeling, and data management. Essential Job Functions: The following duties are considered essential to the role.
