You won't just ship features - you'll own them end-to-end: shaping the idea, building it, defining what success looks like, measuring adoption, and iterating based on real user signals. You'll work closely with Product, Backend, and Data teams to improve how we capture and use in-app signals, enabling better recommendations, more relevant discovery surfaces, and a continuously improving user experience. The scope You'll be part of the Data Team, working on the mobile foundations that enable better discovery, personalization, and product understanding within the iOS app. Rather than focusing only on user-facing features, a big part of your work will be making sure the app is structured to capture reliable user interaction signals, support AI recommendation systems, and allow teams to continuously improve the discovery experience based on real usage. You'll collaborate closely with Backend, Product, and Data teams to ensure new and existing app surfaces are: * Properly instrumented * Designed with personalization in mind * Technically prepared to evolve as our AI systems grow, We are looking for a Senior iOS Product Engineer to join our Data Team. This is a role for an engineer who cares deeply about user experience, product impact, and data. You will bridge the gap between our AI/recommendation capabilities and a seamless, high-performance experience on Apple platforms. You won't just take tickets and write Swift code. You'll own features end-to-end: shaping the idea with Product, building it, defining success metrics, and iterating based on real user data. If you love shipping fast, building clean SwiftUI layouts, and using data and AI to make discovery smarter, you'll fit right in. You'll collaborate closely with Backend, Product, and Data teams to ensure new and existing app surfaces are: * Properly instrumented * Designed with personalization in mind * Technically prepared to evolve as our AI systems grow, * Own features E2E: Partner with Product to define, build, and ship features. You will track post-launch metrics and iterate based on how millions of users actually interact with the app. * Make discovery smarter: Build and maintain the mobile instrumentation layer. You'll ensure the app captures high-quality signals to power our AI systems, directly improving how users find and search for events. * Ship fast & iterate: Build MVPs to validate ideas quickly. We value learning from real user behavior over over-engineering a perfect architecture for months. * Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Backend, Data, and Product teams to align mobile capabilities with our global data strategy. ## Related Videos - [From Zero to Mobile Developer in 45 Minutes With SwiftUI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/183-from-zero-to-mobile-developer-in-45-minutes-with-swiftui) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Hacking iOS and Developing for Airbnb with Nicolas Haunold, Software Engineer at Airbnb](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100361-hacking-ios-and-developing-for-airbnb-with-nicolas-haunold-software-engineer-at-airbnb) - [Using Serious Tech for a Silly Game - How to Build an MVP with Flutter](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/728-using-serious-tech-for-a-silly-game-how-to-build-an-mvp-with-flutter) - [Xcode development redefAIned](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100195-xcode-development-redefained) - [SwiftUI In Production](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/134-swiftui-in-production) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Find a Developer Job: 12 Best Job Sites For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/165-find-a-developer-job-12-best-job-sites-for-developers) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [Dev Digest 139 - Soft and hard queries](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/487-dev-digest-139-soft-and-hard-queries)
