Themen wie Haushalt und Finanzen, IT-Controlling, IT-Strategie, allgemeine Architekturfragen, Beschaffung und Vergaben sowie IT-Sicherheit gehören zu den Aufgaben des Referates.

Die IT-Betriebs- und Servicereferate

betreuen mit System-, Netzwerk- und Datenbankadministratoren die IT-Infrastruktur und Telekommunikation der Behörde. Weiteres Personal ist im Hard- sowie Softwaresupport tätig.

Die IT-Fachreferate

sind für die Entwicklung und Pflege der in der BaFin eingesetzten Fachanwendungen zuständig.
