Applicants without a third-level qualification must have a minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grades A-C, including English and a numeracy-based subject, together with at least two years' relevant IT support experience. * A minimum of one year's experience in an IT technical support role, including helpdesk support, hardware support and customer service. * Experience supporting Windows 10/11 desktop and Microsoft server operating systems within a Microsoft domain environment. * Experience administering Microsoft 365 applications and administration centres. * Knowledge of general networking, server maintenance and technical support. * Hold a full current driving licence with access to a vehicle for business use, or have access to suitable transport that enables the duties of the role to be carried out. * Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. ## Description We are recruiting for an IT Technical Officer to provide first-line IT support to staff and elected members, helping to maintain and develop the Council's IT infrastructure. This role involves supporting desktop systems, Microsoft 365 environments, networking, user administration and a wide range of IT services, while ensuring excellent customer service across multiple Council locations.
