You'll be part of our Tech organization that designs, builds, and delivers both platform capabilities and product features that power Prose's personalized beauty experience - from the consultation and e-commerce journey to the manufacturing systems that turn every order into a physical, made-to-order product in our NYC and LA facilities., * Build & Ship + Design, build, and ship features end to end across our stack: Python/Django services and REST APIs on the backend, React applications on the frontend. + Own quality on your scope: automated testing, peer review, observability, and production monitoring. + Identify and address areas of technical debt, implementing improvements to enhance system performance and maintainability. * Architecture & Technical Direction + Contribute to our architecture evolution: domain boundaries, data schemas, event-driven patterns, and the tradeoffs of a platform serving both e-commerce and manufacturing. + Participate in architecture discussions and system design decisions. + Advance our AI implementation across the tech org: make AI-augmented development part of your daily practice, and help shape our agents, skills, and internal tooling rather than just consuming them. * Collaboration & Impact + Collaborate closely with product, design, data, and operations stakeholders to deliver high-quality features - our scope touches everything from checkout conversion to factory throughput. + Bring visibility to ongoing work, risks, and dependencies. + Mentor other engineers and raise the team's bar through design and code review. + Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the team., Recruiter Screen - (30-45 min, remote) A first conversation with our dedicated recruiter. Live Case - 1 hour 30 (on-site) A practical exercise conducted live with the team - no take-home assignment. We'll walk through a real-world design and coding challenge from our environment. We'll be looking at your methodology, your reasoning, and your ability to stay crisp under realistic conditions. HR Interview - 1 hour (on-site) A conversation with Sabrina Gavois, VP People & Culture. We'll explore your mindset, values, and cultural fit with Prose. CTO Interview - 45 min A final conversation with Nicolas Valençot, Chief Technology Officer, on system thinking, ownership, and long-term technical vision.
