## About the Role

* Confident, professional telephone manner and enjoys speaking with customers
 * Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple enquiries at once
 * Excellent written and verbal communication
 * Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
 * Have ability to sell solutions and deliver a technical package.
 * Develop and deliver presentations and create relationships at site level.
 * Be confident using social media eg LinkedIn etc.
 * Possess a full UK driving licence.
 * Be willing to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel will be required.

Ideal (Nice to Have)

 * A background in industrial sales.
 * Experience with automated storage systems.
 * CRM experience
 * Able to read and interpret technical data

## Description

We're looking for an ambitious, solutions-focused Sales Engineer who thrives on building relationships, winning new business and delivering real technical value to customers. someone who enjoys speaking to customers, picking up the phone, and moving opportunities forward.

You'll own enquiries from first contact through quotation, order handover, and delivery, making sure the customer gets the right solution and the factory gets the right information.

Part of the job will involve assisting the service and installation teams, to achieve a full understanding of the products.

This role will involve:

 * Generating new business opportunities throughout the UK and identify selling potential across all product areas available by Autoscan.
 * Being the first point of contact for customer enquiries by phone, email, and meetings.
 * Developing a "soft" fact-finding sales technique based on technical and practical knowledge in a collaborative manner.
 * Building confidence and trust with customers through clear, responsive communication.
 * Visiting customer sites to manage and interpret customer requirements. (application, function, constraints, lead time, expectations)
 * Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs.
 * Following up quotations, negotiating and closing sales by agreeing a commercial framework.
 * Offering after-sales support services.
 * Identify opportunities for repeat work and long-term relationships
