Our largest enterprise clients have compliance and security limitations which limit first-party data access to systems running within their own cloud infrastructure. These datasets are uniquely valuable assets; when combined with our scientific platform, Edison's enterprise partners are able to power novel drug or materials discovery campaigns at massive scale. The cloud team's mandate is to conquer the gnarly complexity that comes with these "bring your own cloud" engagements such that our platform is deployable within client cloud infrastructure. Our mission is to build an AI scientist, and you'll be part of the team which enables Edison to scale to the largest research organizations in the world. You'll have significant ownership over the architecture and operations of our cloud deployment product, working alongside a small team of experienced engineers who care deeply about building world class software. This role is on-site at our San Francisco office in the Dogpatch neighborhood. Our office is a converted warehouse with high ceilings, open space, and a team that genuinely believes in what they're building., * Design, build, and operate the systems that make our platform deployable within client cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP. * Develop operators, infrastructure tooling, and automation that streamline our bring your own cloud (BYOC) deployment process. * Support client deployments and onboarding hands-on, working directly with enterprise clients' engineering and security teams. * Partner with our forward deployed engineering team to scope requirements and deliver on inflight engagements. * Diagnose and solve bottlenecks in our BYOC process to streamline operations and expand our engagement capacity. * Contribute to technical decision making and architecture for our BYOC product. * Harden the security, reliability, and observability of deployments running in environments we don't fully control. ## Related Videos - [Why segmenting your infrastructure into tiers makes your infrastructure design better](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1960-why-segmenting-your-infrastructure-into-tiers-makes-your-infrastructure-design-better) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Infrastructure as Code: The Developer's Secret Weapon](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1221-infrastructure-as-code-the-developer-s-secret-weapon) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) - [Terraform for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/3-terraform-for-developers) - [Implementing Feature Environments with AWS and Terraform](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/531-implementing-feature-environments-with-aws-and-terraform) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [7 Cloud Computing Trends Coming in 2025 for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/412-7-cloud-computing-trends-coming-in-2025-for-developers) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [The Best X (Twitter) Accounts for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/294-the-best-x-twitter-accounts-for-developers) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift)
