## About the Role

We are seeking a Level 2 System Administrator to provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and operational excellence across a diverse set of IT systems. This role supports day-to-day system operations, escalated technical issues, and ongoing optimization of enterprise environments. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across both Windows and Linux platforms in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment., * 10 years of experience as a System Administrator supporting programs of similar scope and complexity

 * Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
 * Five (5) additional years of SA experience may be substituted for the degree

Desired Skills

 * Automation experience using Ansible, Python, and Bash
 * CI/CD pipeline experience
 * Containerization with Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, or Swarm
 * Git repository management
 * Experience configuring and managing Windows and Linux DHCP/DNS
 * Proficiency with Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian)
 * Understanding of Linux processes, file systems, networking, and offline repositories
 * Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), container registries, and cloud-based logging/monitoring tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus)
 * Experience with automation tools such as SaltStack, Puppet, or Chef
 * Experience with hypervisors such as VMware, Proxmox, or OpenStack

## Description

* Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
 * Manage IT system infrastructure and related operational processes.
 * Provide daily support for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile systems.
 * Deliver Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
 * Communicate issue status and escalations to agency leadership and internal customers.
 * Support hardware dispatch processes and remain engaged through resolution.
 * Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and performance enhancements.
 * Maintain system integrity, configure network components, and implement OS improvements.
 * Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems.
 * Assist users with system access and usage.
 * Optimize system operations, monitor resource utilization, and perform capacity planning.
