## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
 * Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on electronics design and system development.
 * Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation), simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink), and schematic capture tools.
 * Hands-on experience with FPGA development using SystemVerilog or VHDL; familiarity with ARM architecture and firmware programming in C++ or Python.
 * Knowledge of electrical building codes (NFPA 70 compliance), electronics troubleshooting, and industrial automation standards.
 * Skilled in PCB design including surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and circuit debugging with tools such as ohmmeters.
 * Mechanical knowledge related to mechanical engineering principles for integrated hardware solutions; experience with Revit or SolidWorks is advantageous.
 * Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to deadlines.
 * Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across engineering teams and manufacturing partners.

## Description

* Design and develop electrical schematics and circuit layouts using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
 * Create detailed PCB layouts and oversee manufacturing processes ensuring adherence to electrical engineering standards and NEC compliance.
 * Develop FPGA-based solutions utilizing SystemVerilog, VHDL, or similar hardware description languages for programmable logic controllers and control systems.
 * Conduct engineering testing, debugging, and root cause analysis on hardware prototypes to ensure reliability and performance.
 * Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on system design verification using simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink and SPICE.
 * Perform signal processing tasks and integrate communications systems expertise into product development.
 * Support manufacturing by providing technical guidance on surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and electrical system integration.
