## About the Role

* Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
 * Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
 * Certification: Active Office lab assistant certificate preferred. Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
 * Phlebotomy skills- required.
 * Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting and Familiarity with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks a plus) preferred.
 * Empathy: Compassionate and patient-focused approach, with a dedication to providing high-quality healthcare.
 * General knowledge of the medical clinic operations in a physician office setting is preferred.
 * Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills

## Description

As a Bilingual Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in our clinic by providing both clinical and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of our practice., * Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints

 * Assist providers during patient exams and procedures
 * Administer injections/vaccines and perform point-of-care testing as directed
 * Manage referrals and prior authorizations in coordination with front desk staff
 * Document accurately and efficiently in the EHR (eClinicalWorks)
 * Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supply inventory
 * Communicate with patients via phone and patient portal (Healow/Messenger)
 * Support scheduling and patient flow to keep the clinic running efficiently
 * Follow all HIPAA, safety, and infection control protocols
