We are currently expanding our Network Infrastructure Design & Deployment (NIDD) team within Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) and are looking for a proven subject matter expert (SME) with experience in designing and planning copper and fiber network solutions, cabling pathways and vision to take AWS Data Centers to the next level. The successful candidate for this role will create detailed pathway and cabling designs, drive process improvements and adhere to industry and AWS specific standards. The mission of the team is to deliver network capacity on time with zero rework. The Network design and planning SME will manage the planning phase of cable pathways and passive network solutions. This role will be based out of a corporate office and remote sites; international and domestic travel may be required up to 25% of the time. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. Key job responsibilities In this role, you'll work with engineers and managers company-wide to develop solutions for the physical layer. Your responsibilities will include developing pathway, space, and cabling designs, along with specifications for construction and permitting.
