We're responsible for critical developer tools and infrastructure that are used by all of Crusoe engineering. We focus on accelerating development while ensuring we keep a high bar for quality. This role holds a broad, mission-critical charter: to empower every Crusoe engineer to deliver positive change to customers quickly, safely, and efficiently. As a Senior Software Engineer you will contribute to large projects to improve developer experience across the entire SDLC; tackling everything from local development, build optimization, code review/CI experience and AI tools. You will play a critical role in shaping our technical direction and fostering a company-wide culture of engineering excellence. By partnering with other members of the DevX team, you will define the future state of Crusoe's evolving software development efforts and eliminate the friction that stands between an engineer and their "flow state." This is a full-time position for a builder who wants to influence the long-term technical objectives of a company aligning the future of computing with the future of the climate., Engineering Acceleration: Partner with the broader organization to build paved paths that engineers love to use. Our paved paths are fast, reliable and broadly adopted across all of engineering. * Toil Elimination: Ruthlessly identify and automate away the friction and repetitive tasks that slow down the development process, keeping Crusoe engineers in a state of high productivity. * Library & Environment Creation: Develop the libraries, tools, and pre-production environments necessary for vetting service APIs and complex microservice interactions. * Ecosystem Integration: Unify internal tooling and vendor services to automate workflows, build operational efficiency, and optimize security across the development stack. * Lifecycle Innovation: Innovate across every stage of the development lifecycle, including source code management, build systems, code review, CI/CD pipelines, platform runtimes, and telemetry. * Culture of Quality: Lead efforts to establish a culture of continuous quality delivery that scales seamlessly as our engineering headcount and infrastructure grow. * System Optimization: Work diligently to build efficient systems and processes that serve as a force multiplier for the impact of every engineer around you. ## Related Videos - [WeAreDevelopers LIVE - Modern DevOps for IoT Devices and More](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1805-wearedevelopers-live-modern-devops-for-iot-devices-and-more) - [Developer Experience in the Age of AI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1118-developer-experience-in-the-age-of-ai) - [From DevOps to Scaled DevOps: How We’re Rebuilding Continuous Delivery as a Platform](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100018-from-devops-to-scaled-devops-how-we-re-rebuilding-continuous-delivery-as-a-platform) - [Innovating Developer Tools with AI: Insights from GitHub Next](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1268-innovating-developer-tools-with-ai-insights-from-github-next) - [From Punch Cards to AI-assisted Development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/611-from-punch-cards-to-ai-assisted-development) - [DevOps Maturity Check – a way to balance autonomy and alignment](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/58-devops-maturity-check-a-way-to-balance-autonomy-and-alignment) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [What is Software Engineering in the Age of AI?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/640-what-is-software-engineering-in-the-age-of-ai) - [The Best Software Developer Blogs to Read](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/156-the-best-software-developer-blogs-to-read) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [Why developer experience matters](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/514-why-developer-experience-matters) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift)
