We have an excellent opportunity for a Mid-level Drupal Developer to support a federal government client. This role requires developingcustom PHP code and modifying Drupal content management system (CMS) modules. The Developer should be independently motivated and dynamic, have solid object-oriented development skills, and be adept and knowledgeable in the principles of design and web development languages, and working within a complex and secure DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline. Successful candidate: * Web and software development experience:o 4+ years of web and software development experienceo 2+ years of hands-on Drupal CMS and PHP experienceo Hands-on UI/UX experience and familiarity with principles and working with designers to successfully implement interface designso Hands-on MySQL/SQL experience * Experience with source control solutions and git workflow (Gitlab, GitHub), including commits, branches, merging* Technical acumen to write and comprehend code specifications* Understanding of Drupal theming and Twig templating, including an aptitude to develop Twig templates, CSS files, and necessary image assets* Familiarity with Drupal 9/10/11, content types, and views* Understanding of contributed modules and basic site-building* Willingness to learn Drupal API and best practices* Awareness of Drupal security updates and patching* Desire to learn DevOps tools and workflows* Basic understanding of web security principles* Willingness to learn access control and authentication concepts* Ability to analyze and troubleshoot fundamental site issues* Ability to investigate and discern cross-browser, cross-platform compatibility issues* Awareness of caching and site performance concepts* Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere and merge code with multiple peers* Proactive communication and collaboration skills with team members/clients of varying technical expertise* Willingness to seek guidance and learn from troubleshooting* Ability to work in a team and follow development guidelines* Clear and proactive communication of challenges and progress* Openness to feedback and willingness to learn from peers* Ability to follow project timelines and meet deadlines* Willingness to work in Agile/Scrum environments* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail* Adaptability and ability to pick up new technologies* Professionalism and a positive attitude toward challenges Bonus points for experience with: * Experience building accessible/Section 508 compliant sites* Experience building responsive designs* Exposure to RESTful APIs and integrations* Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
