Years of Experience: * Education & Experience: High school diploma with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, 10 years experience with Associate's, 8 years experience with Bachelor's, OR 6 years of experience with Master's. ## Description The IT Specialist performs Tier one and two network, systems, and phone support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. This position provides administration of network and communications systems, including, but not limited to, routers, switches, VTCs, phones, laptops and other IT Specialist systems. The IT Specialist must have solid technical skills, with experience in a variety of network protocols, software, and hardware involved in IT Specialist operations. This position requires strong troubleshooting, analytic and diagnostic skills, along with good communication abilities. The IT Specialist must have comprehensive knowledge of Government hardware, software, and network components. This position coordinates IT administration and performance requirements with other members of the networking and systems team as well as identifies, analyzes, and documents long-range requirements, and administers resources related to the enterprise network. The IT Specialist shall prepare technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions, including actions, milestones, timelines, and critical paths required for complete solutions. The IT Specialist plans for and provides reasonable responsiveness in terms of IT systems performance (e.g., availability, reliability, and throughout). This position shall provide full lifecycle support of LAN and WAN infrastructures. The IT Specialist shall follow the designated network standards for the design, installation, and maintenance of IT infrastructures.
