The application engineer will work together with the Sales Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Quality, Production, and Process Engineering in support of our customer's needs. The application engineer may also be tasked with developing new and innovative products based on customer input, market trends, and company strategy., * Support polymer extrusion (PVC, TPE, TPU, Nylon, Polyurethane, Fluoropolymers, XLPE) on 4/0 to 44 AWG copper wire. * Manage twisting, bunching, and planetary cabling equipment. * Improve yields, production speeds, and machinery utilization. * Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues and refine processes. Design & Engineering Integration * Design bulk cables meeting market needs. * Lead design reviews and validation to ensure product quality. * Partner with development engineering to address capability gaps. * Align processes, equipment limits, and materials with customer specs. Project Management, Quality & Support * Lead teams to deliver complex development programs. * Drive internal projects from concept to completion. * Coordinate and execute Engineering Change Notifications (ECN). * Provide accurate cost estimates and quotes. * Implement process controls to maintain quality. * Evaluate electrical and mechanical test requirements with Quality. * Ensure seamless manufacturing transitions for new products. * Meet team goals for savings, quality, safety, and timely introductions.
