## About the Role

* Engineering or Computer Science degree.
 * Four years of professional software development experience or equivalent embedded software experience.
 * Broad experience with and understanding of embedded Linux systems below applications layer or at minimum, strong embedded systems and computer engineering understanding.
 * Knowledge of professional software development practices such as version control, maintainable code, task planning, testing and validation, and user experience.

Desired Experience:

 * Experience designing, building, and flying sUxS systems.
 * Experience or understanding of PX4 or Ardupilot software.
 * Knowledge of networking and distributed systems.
 * Experience with ROS, ROS2 or other middleware approaches.
 * Knowledge of core Electrical Engineering and RF Engineering concepts.
 * Knowledge of embedded Linux security configuration and best practices.

## Description

* Develop bandwidth management, network configuration, and application software to run on sUxS companion computers.
 * Configure and optimize embedded Linux platforms for resilience, security, and frictionless operations.
 * Validate, test, and document new or existing code running in test or on physical hardware.
 * Support integration of software applications and hardware payloads into common platform.
 * Occasionally support flight operations and end-to-end tests.
