## About the Role

* Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, specifically Siemens NX.
 * Exposure to turbomachinery including airfoils, disks, and shafts.
 * Possesses a practical understanding of manufacturing processes and has experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
 * Ability to create a design layout, assign component tolerances, and perform tolerance stacks.
 * Able to trade component material options based on material properties and component application.
 * Ability to make technical presentations internally and to customers.iExcellent written and verbal communications skills.
 * Communicates and interacts effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.
 * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

 * BS/MS in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering
 * 3+ years of related experience

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

 * Office and/or manufacturing environment.
 * Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
 * Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, rotating wrist, using tools/equipment).

## Description

* Use computer-aided design (CAD) to produce initial design and specifications for gas turbine/rotating machinery components.
 * Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified aircraft system designs.
 * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integrity from concept to development.
 * Document changes through a formal engineering change notification process.
 * Participate in design reviews, solving complex and analytical problems.
 * Define test requirements and analyze data for engine builds and testing.
 * Other job duties as assigned.
