Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Highly proficient skill and knowledge in developing systems and applications to solve business problems in a variety of situations. Successful development and deployment of technology solutions. * High quality application of systems coding and development tools and techniques. Strong systems knowledge as well as application of best practices. Ability to adapt rapidly to new technologies and products. * Ability to represent your team to other teams or leaders. Consider a system-wide, architectural view of solutions. * Analyze moderate to high-risk business needs to determine solutions. Design solutions on various platforms by studying requirements and information needs and recommending solution alternatives. Use a variety of system design techniques including prototype, proof of concept, and reference implementation. Design solutions that consider cross-system integration and dependencies. * Develop and modify code and system set-up based on program specifications using multiple programming languages or system platforms. Apply CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment). Constantly improve systems. Provide technical advice and support to other staff members. * Perform testing using both unit testing test automation and document test results. Participate in testing associated with cross-functional project team efforts. * Produce appropriate technical documentation and notifications for changes to production systems or fixes to production problems. Create SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) artifacts. * Analyze moderate to high-risk production problems, assess alternatives, and work with team to implement solutions. Includes performance tuning, technical troubleshooting, debugging, call-rotation, and root cause analysis. * Support project initiatives collaborating with the rest of the design team and stakeholders, ensuring that development milestones and deadlines are met. Provide feedback on peer designs in an open and collaborative environment. Act as technical resource for team and share knowledge across Premera's developer community. Collaborate with relevant personnel across Premera. May mentor or advise less experienced staff. * Provide input to standardization of IT processes and ensure application of IT standard processes and requirements.
