## About the Role

* 5+ years of proven success as a database developer and/or DBA required.
 * 5+ years years proven technical experience with SQL, Transactional SQL, DTS, Data Modeling, SQL Server, Oracle 10G, SQL Server DBA, Stored Procedures, RDBMS, index tuning and query optimization., * Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

## Description

The main purpose of this position is to specialize in one or more areas of new application / database development. The Developer will be responsible for analyzing, programming, documenting, debugging, and testing applications in the development environment., * Developes new products and support applications already in production.

 * Adhere to pre-defined programming standards set by Application Architects and Develops recommendations regarding further definition of development standards and application architecture principles.
 * Creates documentation using established PMO standards.
 * Use source control systems such as VSS, CVS, TFS.
 * Performs unit testing and assists in user testing of programming modifications.
 * Leads and facilitates design sessions and code walk-throughs, and mentor Analysts on technical and functional aspects of the applications.
 * Provides technical estimates.
 * Addresses system problems during off hours with the guidance from other members of the development staff as needed.
 * Attends staff and departmental meetings providing status updates to Supervisor and Manager.
 * Develops and maintains effective partnerships with product development and business teams in order to understand and anticipate their needs, the business environment, other challenges and opportunities.
 * Maintains technical knowledge through training or other measures.
