Understanding of Data Protection and GDPR Principles. ## Description We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Officer to provide first-line IT support across the organisation. This is a varied role supporting colleagues with day-to-day IT queries, mobile devices, equipment setup, asset management and IT administration. Working as part of the wider IT function, you will help ensure our IT systems, devices and services operate effectively, supporting staff to resolve basic technical issues and maintain service continuity. What you will be doing * Providing first-line support to staff, responding to queries and resolving basic technical issues in a timely way. * Assisting with the setup, configuration and maintenance of IT equipment, including tablets and mobile phones. * Supporting mobile phone administration, including allocation, provisioning, upgrades, usage monitoring, record keeping and supplier liaison. * Maintaining accurate IT asset records, inventories, licence information and support documentation. * Supporting employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing equipment and coordinating access requirements. * Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers to support effective IT service delivery. * Contributing to continuous improvement across IT support processes and administrative systems., This is an opportunity to play an important role in supporting the technology that helps our organisation work effectively every day. Job Purpose: The IT Support Officer provides first-line support to ensure the effective day-to-day operation of IT systems, devices and services across the organisation. The role supports staff with IT equipment, systems, and mobile devices, helping to resolve basic technical issues and maintain service continuity. Principal Accountabilities: Working as part of the wider IT function, the postholder will assist with the administration of IT assets, support onboarding and offboarding processes, and liaise with colleagues and external suppliers as required.
