## About the Role

* Experience building REST APIs and backend services.
 * Good understanding of AWS services (such as Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM).
 * Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
 * Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
 * Experience with Git and collaborative software development.
 * Understanding of modern software engineering principles, testing, and CI/CD.
 * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
 * Strong communication and teamwork skills.

We're particularly interested in candidates who also have experience with one or more of the following:

 * Modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
 * Docker and Kubernetes.
 * Event-driven architectures and messaging technologies.
 * NoSQL databases.
 * Monitoring and observability tools., You'll be someone who:

## Description

We're looking for a talented and passionate Python Backend Software Engineer to join our client's growing engineering team. You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, cloud-native applications that power their products and services.

This is primarily a backend engineering role, but we're looking for someone who enjoys working across the technology stack and is comfortable collaborating with frontend developers when needed. Experience with cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, and modern software engineering practices is essential.

What You'll Be Doing

 * Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services using Python.
 * Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
 * Develop and maintain cloud-native applications within AWS.
 * Manage and automate infrastructure using Terraform.
 * Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver end-to-end features.
 * Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
 * Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
 * Review code and mentor other engineers where appropriate.
 * Troubleshoot, optimise, and improve existing applications.
 * Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
