This is not a traditional demo-focused SE position. You will need to understand the customer's security environment, architecture, and operational challenges and translate the technology into measurable business and security value., Approximately 5-10+ years of Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or related customer-facing technical experience within cybersecurity. Recent successful experience as a Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer at a cybersecurity company. Strong knowledge across at least two major security domains such as: SIEM / Security Operations EDR / Endpoint Security Cloud Security Identity Security MDR SaaS Security Threat Detection / Incident Response + Hands-on familiarity with modern cybersecurity tools and customer security architectures. Experience presenting complex technical solutions to CISOs and C-level executives. Ability to communicate both technical capabilities and measurable business value. Strong self-directed learning and technical curiosity. Active use of modern AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies. Willingness to travel to customer locations when needed. Strongly Preferred Experience at an early-stage or high-growth cybersecurity company. Previous hands-on practitioner experience such as: SOC / Security Analyst Systems or Security Administrator Security Consultant Technical Support / Customer Engineering Incident Response Experience building a home lab, scripting, testing security tools, contributing to technical communities, or independently experimenting with new technologies. Experience working across both broad security platforms and specialized cybersecurity products. Track record of promotions, expanding responsibilities, and measurable technical or commercial results. Engage directly with CISOs, security leaders, SOC teams, and hands-on practitioners. Understand complex customer environments across endpoint, cloud, identity, SIEM/SOC, SaaS, and related security technologies. Design and communicate security architectures and integrations based on customer requirements. Translate technical capabilities into ROI and business value for executive stakeholders. Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process. Build labs, test integrations, evaluate new technologies, and continuously deepen your knowledge of the cybersecurity ecosystem. Work closely with Product and Engineering to communicate customer requirements and technical feedback.
