Our client is seeking an Information Governance Support Officer to join their Strategy and Insights Service on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience handling sensitive information, processing requests and supporting compliance with GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and Freedom of Information legislation., We are looking for a candidate who has: * Experience working in an administrative or information governance environment. * Knowledge and understanding of GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and Freedom of Information legislation. * Experience handling confidential or sensitive information. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly. * Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills. * The ability to work independently, use initiative and exercise good judgement. * Experience working within Children's Services, healthcare or a similar regulated environment is desirable. Essential Skills & Experience You will need to demonstrate: * Good literacy and numeracy skills. * Strong administration and record-keeping abilities. * Experience managing workloads and prioritising tasks effectively. * Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. * Understanding of confidentiality, information security and data protection principles., If you have experience supporting information governance processes and are looking for a short-term opportunity within a children's services organisation, we would like to hear from you. ## Description The Information Governance Team supports in ensuring compliance with information governance requirements across children's services. The successful candidate will provide administrative and coordination support, acting as a key point of contact for Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and Data Subject Access Requests (SARs).
