## About the Role

* Experience working in an ICT or Cyber Security role within a large organisation.
 * Good knowledge of Microsoft Security technologies including Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID and Microsoft 365 security.
 * Relevant degree or professional Cyber Security qualification (e.g. SC-200, CySA+, CCSP, GCIA or similar).
 * Knowledge of Cyber Security frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, NIST, ISO 27001 or CAF, with experience using PowerShell or KQL.
 * Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues.

## Description

We're looking for an ICT Security Analyst to join the ICT Security team. You'll help protect systems, data and digital services from cyber threats, ensuring essential services remain secure and reliable.

You'll monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, reduce cyber risks and work with colleagues across the council to improve security. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Microsoft security experience who enjoys solving problems and helping others stay secure., * Monitor, investigate and respond to cyber security alerts, incidents and threats.

 * Identify security risks and vulnerabilities, recommend improvements and support compliance with security standards.
 * Lead or support security incident response, ensuring systems are protected and recovered quickly.
 * Provide security advice on ICT projects, systems and Microsoft 365 services, working closely with colleagues and partners.
 * Deliver cyber security awareness training, produce security reports and help improve the council's overall security posture.
