## About the Role

validate designs against performance and safety requirements Support design reviews, risk assessments and compliance with CE/UKCA marking and the Machinery Directive Liaise with customers, suppliers and the workshop to resolve technical queries through manufacture and build Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design standards and continuous improvement Occasional travel to customer sites in the UK and overseas for surveys, installation and commissioning support About You Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent HNC/HND with strong relevant experience) Chartered status (CEng) or working towards it is highly desirable 5+ years' experience designing heavy machinery, special purpose equipment or capital plant Strong 3D CAD skills - SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Inventor preferred Confident with engineering calculations, FEA, GD&T and tolerance analysis Experience of hydraulics, pneumatics or heavy fabrications is a strong advantage Comfortable working across the full
