Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative required. * Highly flexible problem-solving and analytic skills required. * Strong attention to detail with exceptional organization skills required. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. A cover letter, resume, writing sample, and reference contact information are required to be considered for this position. ## Description Chapin Hall is seeking an experienced Associate Policy Analyst who will work collaboratively with Chapin Hall staff. This position will report directly to a Senior Policy Analyst and allows for remote work and periodic in-person attendance at Chicago, IL meetings. The successful applicant is expected to work normal business hours and must have flexibility in their work schedule to accommodate business demands. This individual will serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for working with government agencies, researchers, and policymakers to answer fundamental questions child and family policy. The team's work focuses on improving the amount, quality, and usage of data available for evaluation and continuous quality improvement to improve child welfare outcomes in Illinois. An important function of this position is knowledge retention, capture, and sharing best practice processes using Illinois child welfare metadata to support the work of multiple projects. This work is achieved through a number of core projects and functions or developing meta data when it is not available, research data support and technical assistance, outreach and collaboration, and dissemination of work through written products and oral presentations. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and communication skills, experience with project management, expertise with human services programs, and familiarity with administrative data and data systems.
