## About the Role

You'll be a senior infrastructure professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent operational leadership.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have:

 * Extensive experience supporting enterprise Microsoft infrastructure environments.

 * A strong background in hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure.

 * Experience leading technical teams or acting as the senior technical authority.

 * Proven experience managing major incidents and complex technical escalations.

 * Strong knowledge of ITIL service management principles.

 * Experience managing suppliers and outsourced support partners.

 * Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across technical and business teams.

## Description

This is an opportunity to take ownership of critical infrastructure services, working alongside a skilled engineering team to ensure the availability, security and performance of core business systems. You'll act as the senior technical escalation point, driving operational excellence while supporting the delivery of a resilient and modern Microsoft infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing
As the Technical Infrastructure Lead, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the infrastructure estate while providing technical direction to a team of engineers.
You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to maintain service stability, coordinate operational activities and support the successful delivery of infrastructure improvements.
Key responsibilities include:

 * Providing technical leadership to a team of Infrastructure Engineers.

 * Acting as the highest technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.

 * Maintaining the availability, performance and resilience of enterprise infrastructure services.

 * Leading the response to major incidents, coordinating technical resolution and service restoration.

 * Managing infrastructure change, patching schedules and vulnerability remediation activities.

 * Supporting backup, disaster recovery and business continuity processes.

 * Working with third-party suppliers and managed service providers to ensure effective service delivery.

 * Supporting the transition of new technologies into live operational support.

 * Producing technical reports, operational updates and risk assessments for senior stakeholders.

You'll ideally have strong experience across most of the following:

 * Microsoft Azure

 * Microsoft 365

 * Microsoft Entra ID

 * Windows Server

 * Hyper-V

 * Cisco Networking

 * Palo Alto Firewalls
