## About the Role

Evans & Dixon is currently seeking to add an IT Specialist to join our expanding and fast-paced Kansas City office. Candidates must be responsible, able to multi-task, possess the ability to continuously build and improve IT knowledge; have excellent technical and interpersonal skills; have a creative and diplomatic approach to problem solving and a keen sense of organization.  * Information Technology
 * Computer Science
 * Computer Information Systems
 * Other related technical fields
 * Previous Helpdesk experience.
 * Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
 * Proficient in basic network cabling tasks, such as creating patch cables and installing structured cabling.

Compensation & Work Schedule

 * This is a full-time position.
 * Ability to work 40 hours a week
 * This position is based at our downtown Kansas City office and will spend significant time at our Overland Park office.

## Description

* Work closely with IT Staff and IT consultants to maintain proper function of the firm's technology systems and environment
 * Follow company IT security protocols and assist in maintaining network integrity and compliance standards
 * Respond to user inquiries and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
 * Log, track, and resolve tickets using help desk software; escalate unresolved issues to appropriate IT personnel when necessary.
 * Ensure timely notification to users on system changes and system outages
 * Assist with setup and deployment of workstations, laptops, mobile devices, conference room equipment, and peripheral equipment.
 * Assist with planned expansion
 * Occasional travel required
 * Other duties may be assigned
