Preferred Skills * Familiarity with gaming computers, consoles, peripherals, and popular esports titles. * Experience with OBS Studio, Discord, livestreaming platforms, video production, or content creation. * Knowledge of AI tools, coding platforms, game development software, or emerging technologies. * Experience supporting STEM, workforce development, after-school, or community education programs. * Familiarity with Salesforce or another participant-management database. Core Competencies * Technology proficiency * Organization and time management * Reliability and initiative * Teamwork and collaboration * Communication and customer service * Problem-solving and adaptability * Cultural competency * Participant engagement * Positive youth development * Attention to detail ## Description The Esports & Tech Program Associate supports the daily implementation of DUSA's Technology Access, Esports, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Literacy, and English Language Learning programs. Working under the supervision of the Esports & Tech Program Coordinator, the Associate will assist with program delivery, participant engagement, technology lab operations, esports activities, data collection, and special events., Program Delivery and Participant Support * Support the daily operation of DUSA's Technology and Esports Lab. * Prepare computers, equipment, instructional materials, and classroom spaces before each session. * Assist instructors during technology, AI, digital literacy, esports, and English-language classes. * Provide one-on-one assistance to participants using computers, software, online platforms, and digital tools. * Facilitate basic digital skills activities and reinforce classroom instruction. * Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful learning environment. * Support participant registration, attendance, engagement, and retention. Technology Lab Operations * Set up and maintain computers, monitors, gaming equipment, printers, smart boards, webcams, headsets, and other peripherals. * Perform basic hardware, software, network, and equipment troubleshooting. * Conduct routine equipment checks and report repair or replacement needs. * Maintain accurate inventory records for technology, supplies, and program materials. * Help ensure equipment is secure, properly stored, updated, and ready for use. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe computer lab. Esports and Event Support * Assist with esports practices, coaching sessions, tournaments, scrimmages, workshops, and community gaming events. * Support participant check-in, game setup, scorekeeping, equipment placement, and event logistics. * Assist with livestreaming, OBS Studio, capture-card setup, and basic event production as needed. * Encourage teamwork, communication, leadership, sportsmanship, and responsible digital behavior. * Help coordinate graduation ceremonies, showcases, field trips, and other special activities. Outreach, Data, and Administration * Support recruitment and outreach at schools, community events, and partner locations. * Assist with distributing flyers, registering prospective participants, and responding to basic program inquiries. * Maintain attendance records, participant files, assessments, surveys, and program documentation. * Enter participant and outcome data into Salesforce or other organizational databases. * Assist with collecting information needed for grant reports and program evaluation. * Help document activities through photographs, videos, participant feedback, and success stories. * Provide general administrative and logistical support to the Program Coordinator., The position is in-person and requires the ability to move throughout the lab regularly, set up equipment and classroom materials, and lift or move items weighing up to approximately 30 pounds.
