This position applies engineering principles, design criteria, and software applications to develop engineering solutions, support construction activities, and ensure compliance with company and industry standards. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, construction, maintenance, plant operations, and contractor teams while contributing to the safe and reliable execution of capital and maintenance projects., Engineering & Design * Apply engineering processes, design standards, and software tools to support the design and construction of power generation and related systems. * Assist in the preparation of engineering estimates, design alternatives, and construction specifications. * Develop and modify mechanical and electrical design drawings, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). * Perform field walkdowns and review existing systems to collect design information and validate project requirements. * Mark up and update mechanical and electrical drawings to support engineering design changes. Project Support * Support planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance activities throughout the project lifecycle. * Estimate materials and equipment requirements for assigned projects. * Prepare and transmit construction packages and supporting documentation. * Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure project objectives are met. Contractor Oversight & Quality Assurance * Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews of contractor-developed design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages. * Verify adherence to company engineering standards, specifications, and applicable industry requirements. * Review contractor deliverables for technical accuracy, completeness, and constructability. Operational Support * Support construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations. * Understand the functions and responsibilities of departments involved in design, construction, maintenance, and operations. * Support the development and continuous improvement of engineering standards and design criteria.
