## About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Platform Engineer with strong expertise in modern Java technologies, platform engineering, distributed systems, and cloud-native application development. The ideal candidate will have experience building enterprise-scale frameworks, APIs, and event-driven solutions while driving engineering standards and platform capabilities across teams., * Strong hands-on experience with Java 17/21+ and Spring Boot (3.x preferred).

 * Proven experience building shared frameworks, platform services, and reusable enterprise components, beyond traditional application development.
 * Strong expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs and implementing OpenAPI specifications.
 * Experience building and supporting event-driven architectures using Kafka.
 * Deep understanding of distributed systems and related design patterns, including:
 + Resilience engineering
 + Retry mechanisms
 + Circuit breaker implementation
 + Fault tolerance and high availability
 * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

 * Experience integrating with legacy enterprise systems, including:
 + z/OS
 + Mainframe environments
 + CIS platforms
 * Hands-on experience with Redis, Kafka, and Oracle in high-volume production environments.
 * Strong understanding of modern security practices, including:
 + OAuth 2.0
 + OpenID Connect (OIDC)
 + Secrets management
 * Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms such as:
 + Splunk
 + Dynatrace
 + Prometheus
 + Grafana
 * Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and standardized build frameworks using:
 + Gradle
 + Jenkins
 + GitLab
 * Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies:
 + Kubernetes
 + OpenShift
 * Experience working with cloud platforms, with Microsoft Azure preferred.
