Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Senior Radar Acquisition and Capabilities Integration Lead - **Company:** Capstone LLC - **Location:** Quantico, VA, United States - **Experience:** Expert - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Systems Engineering, Microsoft Office, Rapid Prototyping Process, Requirements Management, Software Requirements Analysis - **Published:** July 26, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=cf2028fff246236a ## About the Role * Bachelor's Degree * 20+ years of progressive experience in radar systems and Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD). * Proven expertise in defense acquisition processes, including ACAT I programs, Middle Tier Acquisition/Rapid Prototyping, PPBE, JCIDS, and full lifecycle management. * Demonstrated success leading IPTs, developing acquisition strategies, RFPs, technical evaluations, and contract negotiations for radar modernization programs. * Strong background in sustainment planning, CONOPS development, and cross-functional coordination across production, test, logistics, and engineering. * Experience with capability integration across DOTMLPF-P, requirements generation, and alignment with Marine Corps and joint operating concepts. * Exceptional communication skills, including senior leader briefings (GO/SES level), requirements documents, decision papers, and stakeholder coordination. * Active or recent Top Secret / SCI clearance, or the ability to obtain this level of clearance., * Prior Program Office experience (e.g., PEO LS, PM ExR, PdM FRS, MCCDC / CD&I). * Certifications in acquisition and program management, requirements management, or radar systems engineering. * Hands-on knowledge of specific systems such as G/ATOR Engineering Change Proposals, MRADR rapid prototyping, and passive coherent radar capabilities. * Experience supporting NIFC, Joint/Coalition integration, or contested environment sensor operations. * Master's Degree. ## Description * Develop and lead acquisition strategy and portfolio execution for radar programs, managing the full acquisition lifecycle including requirements definition, engineering change proposals (ECPs), Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), source selection, contract negotiations, and milestone decisions. * Direct cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) encompassing engineering, testevaluation, contracting, production, logistics, and sustainment to deliver advanced radar capabilities on cost, schedule, and performance. * Serve as the primary Radar Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing analytical recommendations and senior military advisor support to Program Managers on operations, sustainment, lifecycle strategy, and organizational alignment. * Develop and optimize sustainment concepts, CONOPS, supply chain strategies, depot maintenance, and field support plans to ensure mission continuity and operational readiness. * Translate operational capability gaps into validated requirements across DOTMLPF-P domains; support concept development, experimentation, wargaming, and modernization priorities aligned with Service operating concepts and Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations. * Lead developmental testing, operational demonstrations, failure analysis, root cause investigations, and risk assessments to inform program decisions and accelerate fielding. * Collaborate with stakeholders to synchronize capability development, integration, and interoperability initiatives. * Establish enterprise program metrics, governance processes, and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to enable data-driven decision-making, resource optimization, and transparency for senior leadership. * Support rapid acquisition and prototyping efforts, including transition of technologies from sciencetechnology into operational programs. ## Related Videos - [Grappling With Clunky Old Software?
